One Year Anniversary and virtual announcement of our upcoming season.

It felt like a true community event…especially when some of our audience members started to join in the singing!

We LOVED your performance, and it was so easy to work with you to get the space set up and plan the activities. This is the first time that we’ve had a performance taking place while people were crafting and making hot chocolate and socializing, and it was so informal and beautiful. It felt like a true community event…especially when some of our audience members started to join in the singing! I was thrilled to be able to bring opera to our patrons and they truly loved it.

Such a talented, hard-working group of people, and I love that the concert showcased the performers' versatility with so many different instruments and styles.

Imagine children being completely captivated by opera.  It can happen!Little Songbook Opera brought the magic of opera to TidePool Bookshop with their delightful program Faery Tunes for a Midsummer Afternoon…Their performances were playful, imaginative, and engaging, but never condescending. They honored children’s capacity to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of poetry and operatic voices, and the result was totally enchanting.

-Jo and Huck Truesdell, owners of TidePool Bookshop

“The event at TidePool Bookshop with Little Songbook Opera was truly wonderful! Not only were the musicians talented, but the vocalist created an immersive environment. The songs were the perfect length for all ages and captured my attention and heart.”

— Hannah Jackson, audience member at “Faery Tunes for a Midsummer Afternoon”

“I had the pleasure of seeing Little Songbook Opera’s performance of Faery Songs song cycle at Tidepool bookshop. It was incredible to see such high caliber performers engaged with such fun material! I loved the structure of including poems and picture books along with such beautiful music. Along with the toy pianos and face painting, it made for a really whimsical and lovely afternoon! I look forward to future performances and am glad that they’re making art and opera accessible for little ones!”
